Before the title gets misinterpreted, allow me to explain.
Deuteronomy 24:16 says "Parents are not to be put to death for their children, nor children put to death for their parents; each will die for their own sin." Or rather, “Fathers shall not be put to death for their sons, nor shall sons be put to death for their fathers; everyone shall be put to death for his own sin” and that “The son will not bear the punishment for the father’s iniquity, nor will the father bear the punishment for the son’s iniquity.
By the time we are old enough to know right from wrong, we are held accountable of our actions. We can't blame our parents; we can't blame our upbringing; we can't blame the situation or justify it. In the end all we have is ourselves to point fingers at. So, it is up to us to break the cycle, or set-up or children for failure and whilst their choice, it's just as much as yours for not correcting them.
So it is our owns sins NOT our father's that lead us to our demise. By the everyday choices we make. IN short The Fathers sin is enabling the child, the child's sin is allowing him to do so.
